"ESG is a central part of HR and vice versa"

In this webinar, SD Worx Sweden invited Jan Laurijssen, HR evangelist and researcher at SD Worx, Laura Antila, ESG Office Lead at SD Worx, and Magnus Eklöv, Business Solution Manager at SD Worx Sweden, to discuss how and why HR is so strongly linked to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance).

EU laws and new directives such as the CSRD require large and listed companies to disclose information about what they consider to be risks and opportunities linked to social and environmental issues, and about how their operations affect people and the environment.

In organizations' quest for long-term sustainability and compliance with new ESG requirements, HR managers play a central role in understanding, managing and anticipating these challenges.

HR has an ever-growing amount of data about employees and can offer its organizations deeper analyses and better foresight by using so-called People Analytics. But how do you collect and turn HR and organizational data into actionable insights? By using data and tools, we can make it easier for companies to report on the "S" in ESG and ultimately help predict employee turnover, absenteeism, early leave, and more.

    What will you learn?

    • Definition and explanation of ESG and CSRD
    • Why ESG and HR are strongly linked
    • How to comply with laws and regulations
    • How to collect and turn your HR data into actionable insights
    • Reporting as an opportunity to predict turnover, absence, etc.
    • How to encourage a future-oriented approach to engaging your employees
